Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information DevTools Academy collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it when devtool companies and technical creators engage with our website, sales conversations, and creator-led GTM services.

Introduction
DevTools Academy is a specialized GTM partner that brokers creator-led developer distribution between devtool companies and our network of vetted technical creators. This Privacy Policy applies to our marketing site at devtoolsacademy.com, intro calls and demos, campaign briefs, and the services we deliver to active customers and creators.
We aim to collect only what we need to run engagements, and we keep information aligned with the purpose for which it was shared.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with DevTools Academy, we may collect:
- Contact details such as your name, work email, company, role, and phone number when you book a call, request a proposal, or apply to join our creator network.
- Commercial details such as billing contacts, engagement scope, campaign objectives, and target channels (e.g. Hacker News, Reddit, technical blogs, YouTube).
- Creator profile information such as audience focus, content samples, rates, payout details, and prior collaborations submitted during creator onboarding.
- Usage and device data such as browser type, pages viewed, referral sources, and high-level analytics events used to improve the site.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to operate and improve our services, including to:
- Respond to inquiries, scope engagements, and manage customer and creator relationships.
- Match customers with relevant creators, coordinate briefs and deliverables, and handle invoicing and payouts under our fixed-fee model.
- Monitor performance of the site and campaigns, troubleshoot issues, and understand how visitors find and evaluate us.
- Send service notices, campaign updates, and relevant commercial communications consistent with your relationship with us.
Customer and Creator Data
Customer campaign materials — including positioning, target keywords, unreleased product details, and performance metrics — are treated as confidential and used only to deliver the contracted engagement.
Creator profile and payout information is used to run the network, coordinate placements, and pay creators. We do not sell creator or customer information, and access is limited to personnel and service providers who need it to do their jobs.
Sharing and Disclosure
DevTools Academy does not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted vendors that support hosting, analytics, communications, payments, and operations, subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
We may also share information between customers and creators to the extent needed to deliver an engagement (for example, sharing a customer brief with a selected creator), and we may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, to investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or similar business transaction.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies, along with third-party analytics tools, to understand how visitors find and use our site and to improve the experience. These tools collect usage data such as pages viewed, referral sources, approximate location, device and browser information, and interaction events.
The analytics and tracking tools we may use include:
- Vercel Analytics — page views and high-level traffic metrics for our marketing site.
- Google Analytics — aggregate audience, acquisition, and behavior reporting.
- PostHog — product analytics and event-level usage data on our site and portals.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of certain analytics tools using the providers’ own opt-out mechanisms.
Third-Party Services and Vendors
We rely on a small set of trusted vendors that may process or store personal information on our behalf to deliver our services. Each vendor is bound by their own privacy and security obligations. Categories and representative providers include:
- Payments and invoicing — Stripe.
- Email, documents, and productivity — Google Workspace.
